Helping: A short story

Katy’s grandma comes to visit her.
Katy’s mum makes milk for Grandma.
Grandma says ‘Thank you my dear’ and takes the milk.
Grandma and mother bake some buns and a cake.
Katy goes to the post box to bring the mail.
She reads her dad’s name on the letters.
Katy takes the letters to her dad.
He says ‘Thank you Katy’ and takes the letters.
Katy goes to play, in the garden.
The cake is made.
Grandma brings the cake to show Katy.
‘It smells good’, Katy says
Grandma, Katy, mum and dad all have some tea and cake.
Katy then helps Grandma to the bus stop.
Grandma says ‘Thank you’ and climbs on to the bus.
It is a hot afternoon so Katy goes to see her friend.
May and Katy has a picnic in the garden.
‘Would you like some cake?’, asks May.
‘Yes’, Katy says, ‘Thank you’.
After a good picnic Katy goes home.
She helps mum clean up the dishes after dinner.
Mum says ‘Thank you’ to Katy.
